Base Habitation designs ready-to-build homes for Quebec. The walls are prefabricated panels made with biosourced materials, and every home follows Passive House principles: very airtight, well insulated, with certified windows. The result is a quiet, warm house that costs little to heat.

The first model, the Base I, is version one of a larger system. It keeps a constant 20 ft width and grows in length, so modules like a studio, an extra bedroom or a screened porch plug onto the same grid.
