The first Base home ever built. We made it to test everything, then opened the door to guests.

Camp de Base sits in the forest at BESIDE LAO, as the first piece of BESIDE's collection hors série. It is an 860 sq ft one-bedroom with a loft: charred wood outside, oak inside, a wood stove, and big windows onto the trees.

Everything we learned here, from the panel joints to the millwork, went into the Base I that clients build today. You can book a stay.
